CUSTOM IS VIRTUALLY LIMITLESS
Creating your custom shade can be as simple as modifying an exisiting pattern to fit your application or providing us with a logo, fabric swatch or art piece to be realized on a shade. Some of the best custom printed shades have started with ideas such as:
- Reworking an existing TEXTON pattern
- Company logo or brand design
- Reimagine discontinued fabrics onto a roller shade
- Reinterpret a textile onto a roller shade for design continuity
- Reproduce a customer’s artwork onto a shade
- And more

TIPS FROM OUR PRINT EXPERTS
Color Varies On Screen
Because color varies on sceen, keep in mind that sampling is an iterative process and it may take a few rounds to achieve your vision.
View The Sample in the Home
Lighting has a dramatic effect on color. From the different types of light bulbs, to tones of light and the amount of natural light in the space, we strongly recommend that any and all samples be reviewed in the client’s space for an accurate representation.
Images that are crisp on the Screen May be Fuzzy When Printed.
Files used for printing require a much higher resolution than what is required for viewing on a computer screen. If you saved an image off a website, more than likely it is not large enough to print at large scale on a roller shade. TEXTON has created a set of guidelines when creating and preparing your custom artwork.
Greys are Beautiful but can change in certain light conditions.
Greys can be a calming color, suitable for many design schemes. When you use digital imaging to create a grey-colored shade, understand that the type and hue of the light can cause gray to lean warmer, cooler, greener, or bluer depending on the environment.
This phenomenon is called metamerism — when a color appears to change under different light sources.
On roller shade fabrics specifically, the woven texture and coating interact with light differently than smooth paper or painted surfaces, which can further influence how gray is perceived.
For this reason, physical sampling and in-room approval are especially important when specifying custom printed neutrals.
Have Fun!
Most importanly, have fun. Creating a custom shade should be a fun process where you get to experiment, create and iterate at your own pace.
